Bio


Rebecca began her professional career as 21-year-old ‘mom’ Mrs. Eggleston to Harvey Korman in LITTLE ME.  She continued this ‘motherly’ tradition playing Golde in over a dozen productions of FIDDLER ON THE ROOF, including a National Tour with Theodore Bikel; understudied the role of Mae in the Broadway revival of PAJAMA GAME starring Hal Linden and Cab Calloway; toured in LORELEI with Carol Channing; BYE, BYE BIRDIE with Bobby Rydell; CAMELOT with Richard Harris and a memorable day as Guenevere opposite Rock Hudson.  She was privileged to play Abigail to Don Perkin’s Adams in 1776 (endearing Sam Kressin as Franklin); Sara in rock musical ATOM AND EVE directed by Tom O’Horgan; fading stripper ‘Doily La Flame’ in Cherie Bennett’s HONKY TONK ANGELS, music Garth Brooks; and Della in Hippodrome Theatre’s BLUE PLATE SPECIAL.  Other favorites include CABARET (Fraulein Schneider) at North Carolina Theatre and at Trump Plaza; A WONDERFUL LIFE (Millie Bailey) and OKLAHOMA ! (Aunt Eller), Westchester Broadway Theatre; Roundtable’s THE HEIRESS (Mrs. Almond) directed by Mahayana Landowne; ANNA CHRISTIE (Marthy) directed by Mary Kate Burke; VIEUX CARRÉ (Mrs. Wire) NativeAliens Theatre Collective; ‘NIGHT, MOTHER (Thelma), Dominic Cuskern Producer; DAMN YANKEES (Meg), Maine State Music Theatre; award-winning performance as Aldonza in Forestburgh’s MAN OF LA MANCHA; and Samuel French Award winners STRAWBERRY FIELDS by Kevin Brofsky and SOMEPLACE WARM by Peter Macklin.
